Riverton vs. Olympus

Final score: Olympus 20, Riverton 0...Sad, yes. I have to say though that Jordan did get a touchdown, but it was called back due to an "illegal block" (supposedly). Olympus scored all their points in the first half, but Riverton was able to hold them in the second.

Jordan has an awesome fan base!

How cute is this fan!

He has very devoted fans!

The refs. were really taking their job serious!

Preparation for BYU football

Yes, we actually "prepare" for the BYU season. This weekend we made our trip to the BYU book store to get the apparel required to watch the games. One of the other requirements for BYU to play (or win) a game is that Joel has to shave his head before every game...whoa! This is serious stuff! We had a lot of fun at the bookstore though...me and Madi found these really cute tote bags (for diaper bags) for only $4.00! So we picked up a few of those too...hey, a mom can still have a stylish diaper bag to match her outfits right? I have to add that the girraffe, zebra, and stripe print on these bags were a little too stylin' for Joel and Jordan to carry (they would be embarrassed) so they found a football tote. This poor baby, he doesn't have much of a chance but to like BYU football, and football in general...and the Yankees. Oh! and the baby got BYU booties... after all, he will be born right in the middle of football season... we want him to be all prepared too!

After our bookstore trip, we stopped by the Creamery for a little snack. mmm...ice-cream!

Starting School

Wow! School has started already. This is Madi's first day of 1st grade and Jordan's second day of 6th grade. For Jordan, it is old news...but for Madi, this is quite an event. She is so organized and worried about every little detail, I think Joel was ready to go insane while she was primping, and packing and unpacking her back pack, figuring out if she wants cold or hot lunch, and the biggest issue... What should she wear? I need to thank Joel for dealing with a lot of these issues this morning with her. He was very patient with itchy belts, itchy tags, the right pair of shoes to wear, packing her lunch in an organized manner (according to Madi) and getting her some breakfast, even though she was too nervous to eat. All in all, Jordan and Madi made it to the bus on time, and Joel could go to work and relax.

It's Football Season!

This is the time of year that we pretty much block out our evening and weekend schedule for football practices and games. Joel is one of the coaches for Jordan's team. Their first game is August 30. Go Silverwolves!!

As you can see, Madi is estatic for football season. She gets to reunite with her friends while the all the girls' brothers are practicing. That is one crazy smile!

No butts about it... Jordan is #10!

Madi's New Room

So Madi moved to a new room so that the new baby (coming soon) could have her old room. She was so excited to decorate it and one of her only requests was that the walls were green.

The Baumgart Kids!

Right now, there are two...on October 26, 2008 we are expecting our third. It's a Boy! Both the kids are excited to meet their new baby brother. Mom and Dad are excited to have a new baby in the house...it's been almost 7 years since we've had those sleepless nights and all the fun new things babys bring.

Madison

Madison is 6 years old. She loves ballet, shopping for clothes, and Hannah Montana. She is also a great reader. She just finished kindergarten... so here we come First Grade! Madi has had a fun summer so far. She has enjoyed going with the family to Yellowstone, being with grandparents and cousins and playing with her friends. She just moved downstairs to her new room with green walls. She is excited for her new baby brother!

Jordan

Jordan is 11 years old. He loves airplanes, cars and football. He just started football last week. Joel (the dad) is coaching football for his age... luckily, Jordan made it onto his team. Jordan is excited to play football this year because a lot of his buddies are on his team. He will be starting school soon, I feel bad for his teacher though, she has almost all of the football team in her class.
