The Championship Game

The Silverwolves played Olympus. The final score was 14 to 13 for Olympus :( The Silverwolves played so well though. They are awesome!

Oooohhh! The boys really fought hard this season to get to the Championships. The boys were quite disappointed that they lost (only by 1 point too!)

Jordan was holding back the tears too. The coaches were really cool to rally the team together and let them know how well they played.

There was a lot of #10 fans! This little fan is my cute niece Kennedy. I was really diggin' her stockings and shoes. She is just a doll!

First Snow Day!

Our first snow came on Wednesday November 6. Madi came in early that morning and woke me up, telling me it snowed, it snowed! Her one and only project for the day was to build a snow man. She invited her friend over, and they worked on the snow man for an hour and a half.

This cute snowman was about 2-3 feet tall. The girls made the snowman on the back porch... I have no idea why they built it on the porch, but I'm sure if I dared to ask, there would be a very good and logical reason. It was fun to look out the back window to see the snowman staring in. Now, all that is left on the porch is 2 rocks and a carrot...I was sad that he melted!

Halloween Costumes!

Grandpa and Ruth...so cute!

...I have no idea what Craig was doing lying on the grass like that, but it was definately picture worthy!

Madi, bobbing for apples!

Aloha! Mom and Dad hosted the Halloween party this year. They made a cute Hawaiian couple.

Joel had a cute pumpkin face on the back of his shirt.

I dressed up as Napolean Dynamite...but someone had to take the pictures, so I don't have one of me...sorry Linds!

Our little pumpkin... Hudson.

Fabio?? No, that was Jer being a pirate, but flipping his hair around like Fabio. He even proclaimed himself as being as good looking as Fabio.

This is Lindsay's Mom holding Kennedy. It was really fun to have her at the party.

A typical 11 year old costume? He was going to be a football player for like the 8th year in a row, but right before the party, he found this box and decided to make it into his costume.

Ms. Hannah Montana! No really it's just Madi.

The pirate couple...or I should say Lindsay was being the pirate, while Jer was pretending to be Fabio!

Jen and Erik as 70's bowlers. Jen had to stuff her pants to get that look...and as I remember, Erik had that same haircut in High School!

Technical difficulties...

Soo....our computer broke down, so I'm using our laptop. Unfortunately, I don't know how to download our pictures onto this computer (help anyone?), so I will just journal for now.

Halloween was great! We started the celebration with our extended family Halloween party at moms house. We did crafts, had yummy food, pinata, and bob for apples. The bobbing for apples is always my favorite, especially when the adults get lured into it by the whole family chanting their name to go and bob...mind you that this is after all the kids from ages 2 and up have dunked their head in with all the cute face makeup and hairspray. So needless to say, the water gets pretty murky by the time the chanting of names start. It was a fun Halloween party. I love to see all the kids dressed up and so excited for the nights events.

This last week, we painted pumpkins. Jordan named his "Seemore" (he was wearing glasses...get it?), Madi named hers "Sally" (Seemore's wife) and together they had a baby pumpkin named "Simon" which was Hudson's pumpkin. Hmmm.... you would think we had a new baby around here:). We also had our neighborhood "Trunk or Treat" in which they had a cake walk. Well, bless Joel's little heart, he is a teacher in primary and gets all the sign up sheets, so he always signs us up for stuff (food etc.) for activities, then tells me the day before I am suppose to bring the item, and for all that know me, I need a good weeks advance notice...me and cooking don't always go together. Well, he signed us up to bring a cake for the cake walk during the Trunk or Treat. Well, Madi, me and Betty Crocker got together (Sorry Martha) and made a wonderful chocolate, chocolate cake. It even had Halloween sprinkles on top. Well, long story short, Madi loved our concoction so much, she won our cake back in the cake walk. It was really sweet, and Madi was so proud of our cake. One day this week, we made some sugar cookies too.

On Saturday, Jordan had his playoff game, in which if they lost, they were done for the season. THEY WON!! I couldn't believe it! They played Alta and it was a really intense game. The score being 13-7. The team pulled it off in about the last 8 minutes of the game. When they won, I seriously got light headed. I should add, this is the third year these boys have played together, and they have lost at the playoffs, so they never made it to the Championships until this year. They will play Olympus in the Championships. I am so excited for them. It was cute to see the bond the boys had with each other and the coaches at the end of the game. Jordan ran up to Joel and Joel lifted him up in a huge hug. One of the other coaches (quite a bit smaller than Joel) also ran up to Joel and Joel lifted him up too:) that was caught on tape. GO SILVERWOLVES!

Well, that does it for the week I think. I love Halloween! I love all the cute trick or treaters. Best costume I saw this year was Michael Phelps. Yes, one of our neighbors (teenager) wore a speedo and gold medals. I thought it was really funny and quite daring.
